Jo runs various small cake decoration workshops and sugarcraft classes at her studio in Wiltshire throughout the year. There is a maximum of 4 people per class. Spectacular Roses

Sharp Edge Icing

Great for beginners or those wanting to learn the tricks of the trade of how make and use ganache as a base for the most perfectly iced cake. You will then learn how ice a cake with sugarpaste to create the enviable sharp edge. Why not do the rose course in the morning and receive 10% discount.

 

 

 

 


 Winter Sugar Flower Spray

 Sat 2nd Dec 2017 9am-5pm £100 per person.Suitable for intermediates ***2 SPACES REMAINING***

Learn how to make a stunning spray of white poinsettias, hellebores, roses, jasmine and holly, all with a bit of sparkle. You will be taught how to wire individual petals and tape the whole spray together.  Perfect for adding to your own Christmas cake.

 

 


 Christmas Bauble cakes

 9th Dec 2017 10am-4pm £80 per person. Suitable for intermediates ***FULLY BOOKED***

You will be shown how to bake the cakes. Then you will be given your own prebaked cakes to decorate. Learning the many skills required to fill, ice and decorate the cakes to create your own Christmas centre piece. 

 


Piping skills and royal icing 

Sat 20th January 2018 10am-4pm £75 per person. Suitable for beginners***2 SPACES REMAINING***

Piping is often a skill that people lack confidence in, it takes a bit of practice but once mastered it opens a whole new world of possibilities. In this class you will be shown how to prepare perfect royal icing. The class will first focus on practising piping skills and techniques. You will be given your own iced cake dummy that you will then decorate with piped spots, stripes & swags, filigree lace, piped plain shell boarder, brush embroidery and an inscription.

 

 

 


Cute Carved Car Cake

Sat 10th February 2018 10am-4pm £80. *** FULLY BOOKED***Suitable for beginners

You will learn how to carve a sponge cake fill, mask with buttercream and  ice. You will then be shown how to use a variety of techniques to decorate to create this whimsical cartoon car

 


Chocolate wrap cake and chocolate truffles:  

Sat 17th February 2018 10am-4pm £80 per person. Suitable for beginners. ***FULLY BOOKED***

Perfect for Valentine’s day. You will learn how to make ganache. Then fill and cover chocolate cake with it. You will learn how to temper chocolate (melt without causing chocolate to bloom) I will then show you how wrap the chocolate around the cake for a truly sumptuous finish. We will make hand rolled chocolate truffles and dip these in tempered chocolate then decorate with piped chocolate designs. These will then be used to adorn the cake. You will be supplied with recipes and how to instructions to recreate the cake.

 


Country garden flowers workshop: 

Sat 3rd March 2018 9am-5pm £100 per person. Suitable for intermediates ***1 SPACE REMAINING***


You will learn how to make a variety of pretty summer blooms ideal for a wedding or special celebration cake. These will include a large old fashioned rose, hypericum berries, sweet peas, lisianthus and rose leaves.

 

 

 


 

Camper van cake: 

Sat 24th March 2018 9am-5pm £100 per person. Suitable for intermediates ***3 SPACES REMAINING***

You will learn how to carve the cake into the iconic vw split screen campervan, fill and mask cake with buttercream, how to cover a shaped cake without cracks, tears or creases and how to decorate. You will learn how make and add accessories to the camper. We will also ice the cake board this will either be sand, grass or stones. I will show you how to achieve each different ground covering for you to choose from.
